The commissioning process: how easy is it to install ThermoControl?

The station arrives in a cardboard box disassembled into 4 main parts. Thermocontrol can be assembled in half an hour by following the instruction and using instruments included in the package. An online technical support is ready to help you 7 days a week. After the device was assembled just plug it in ― and it’s ready to work. To access the measurement database enter your login and password window when you first enter the web interface. It can be accessed from any device.

The screening process: how to use ThermoContol to measure temperature?

  • The station is placed at the entrance of a building. The main screen invites people to measure their temperature.
  • The visitor approaches the terminal. Face and range sensors detect the person and the device automatically adjusts to their height. Thermocontrol Plus can recognize the person and their name in the database.
  • The measurement instruction is presented on the screen.
  • Audio signals and help screens ensure a proper measuring position of the user.
  • Thermocontrol measures body temperature from several points of the person’s face.
  • The process takes around two seconds. The optimal result is determined using a special algorithm, which measures temperature of points that are affected by the outside temperature the least.
  • The result is presented on the screen and can be announced using speech synthesis.
  • Afterwards, it is sent to the measurement database.

Notification system: how does ThermoControl inform about high temperature?

There are three types of notifications: 1. Sound notification. An audio signal accompanies the measurement. The results can be announced using speech synthesis. 2. Visual notification. The result is displayed on the screen with different color schemes depending on the result: green means normal temperature, red means high temperature. 3. Software notification. Several types of notifications are available and can be used: an email notification, an SMS or messenger notification, a CRM notification, or a Thermocontrol web service notification.

Why ThermoControl instead of a remote thermometer?

Contactless thermometers measure temperature in one single spot, the one where the sensor is directed. A lot of mistakes occur as a result of that: different parts of the face have different temperature, and sometimes the person with the thermometer can measure temperature incorrectly: with constant foot traffic it is easy to accidentally point the thermometer to an eyebrow, temple or other part of the face. A maximum body temperature can be measured in the spot between the eyes at the top of a nasal bridge. Lacrimal canals that are located in that area are protected from outside temperature. Thermocontrol measures up 10 points of a person’s face, using an algorithm that determines the most correct measurement. The temperature of a person entering the building can be measured at the highest precision ― this is something that remote thermometers cannot provide. There are three major advantages Thermocontrol has compared to these types of thermometers: 1. Thermocontrol is faster. It takes 5 seconds to screen one person ― which means no lines will be formed at the entrance. 2. A person does not participate in the process. This removes any chances of cross-contamination with coronavirus, as well as ensures savings on staff expenses. 3. Thermocontrol is more precise. The algorithm ensures there are no mistakes due to the human factor, and the measurement accuracy itself is 0,2°C.

How can it be used post-COVID-19?

There are numerous indicators to temperature measurement becoming the new safety standard ― next to metal detectors and surveillance cameras. Soon it will be another part of our everyday life. Apart from that, Thermocontrol could be further modernized and become either a medical stationary device or a checkpoint which issues entrance passes. The process of modernizing the equipment takes just a few hours: our technical specialist will arrive at your location, install the required hardware (passport scanner, access card dispenser, tonometer, breathalyzer, etc.) and set it up using special software.

How many different ThermoControl models are available and how do they differ from each other?

We develop two models of screening stations: Thermocontrol and Thermocontrol Plus. The primary difference between two models is a more advanced computing unit of Thermocontrol Plus, as well as a software package. These two elements introduce face and speech recognition in the process, as well as an option of access system integration and notification system which informs clients via messengers and email notifications.

How can ThermoControl be integrated with the access system?

1. Dry contact An additional relay is included in Thermocontrol’s body. To make sure everything works correctly, an additional insert into the power circuit in-between the card reader and the access system has to be made. The switch is constantly open until the measurement occurs. At that moment, the switch closes for 5 seconds. Afterwards, input info from the sensor is sent to the access system. If temperature is not measured correctly or it is above normal, the card reader will not work. Thermocontrol Plus will transfer the information about the person: full name, photo and body temperature result without granting further access. A standard Thermocontrol station will send the photo and temperature result. If the station is integrated with the access system, access will be denied using a signal. 2. Software interaction with the access system This type of integration allows a face recognition module or a card reader to identify the person before temperature measurement takes place. Different forms of identification are available depending on the client’s request: password scan, QR-code scan, etc. The measurement process starts after the person was identified. If temperature is normal, a notification is sent to the access system to grant access. If it exceeds normal ― a staff member’s info is sent to the access system, at the same time denying further entrance to the building. Person hears a notification and sees it on the screen at the same time.
